Examples

Here are some very helpful tips and examples on how to use the ZipZing domain name filtering software.

ZipZing is a Windows® Desktop Software!

See screenshots of the ZipZing software in action.

How to use the software?

Open it, load a dictionary, load a domain list and you are on your way! It is really that easy but I will go into depth so you know if you need to know!

You need to have a dictionary (keyword list) loaded into the software first. You can do this by simply clicking “Dictionary 1″ and select a dictionary file from your computer. (see Dictionary on ZipZing for examples) An easy way to have a dictionary “loaded” into ZipZing automatically is to move any saved dictionary you have into the ZipZing folder and name them “dictionary.txt” dictionary2.txt and “dictionary3.txt”. You will want to  load these into the file name zipzing from when you downloaded the software. You can also load any dictionary at any time into dictionary 1, 2 or 3 from any location on your computer, which is often what I do. If you do this, the dictionaries do not need to be named specifically.

Dictionary (example uses)

The dictionary is the life blood of the ZipZing software, so bigger isn’t always better!  There are certain ways to use different dictionaries to filter domain name lists to your liking, so do not limit yourself on the amount of dictionaries you use! ZipZing does NOT provide a preloaded dictionary with your purchase but we do offer several resources for dictionaries at zipzing.com/dictionary . You can also simply create your own dictionary using popular keywords you like to look for.

Ways To Use The Dictionaries (example)

Lets say you have a keyword list of “ends with” type keywords you like to invest in. Technically, that list becomes a “dictionary” that you will want to with ZipZing:

Use a standard/main dictionary (with a lot of words in it) for Dictionary 1
Use your “ends with” keyword dictionary for Dictionary 2

Place a check mark next to the box “Word 2 from Dictionary 2″

Click “Load Domains & Process” to load in a domain list (one domain per line) or simply click “Process” if you have your domain list loaded.

The above example will focus on “2 word domains” that end with the keyword list you entered in Dictionary 2. Your standard dictionary will be used to obtain dictionary words for the first keyword, the second word will match the dictionary 2 keywords.

You will still be able to see “1 word” domain names that would result from your standard dictionary 1. Two word domains will be a combination of your standard dictionary 1 and your second words will be from your Dictionary 2. 3 Word domains will display as well, but keep in mind that the second word will be from your Dictionary 2, with the 3rd word from your standard dictionary 1. You will also see “Popular” and “Other” domains if there was any in your domain list, but your main focus will be on “2 word domains” due to you using your “ends with” keyword list.

This is not your typical “ends with” type filter search on standard sites, because ZipZing will only display “words” that are contained in your “dictionary” you have inserted and not terms like AG459erGolf.com! You can still see AG459erGolf.com, in the “Other” tab if you really want to see it!

Find Brandable Domains (example)

I load my standard dictionary into Dictionary 1. For my Dictionary 2, I created a short list (Dictionary 3 on the Dictionary page) that contains each of the 26 letters A, B, C, D, E etc and common things like ing, ly, me, etc.

Filtering a domain list with a dictionary set up like this will result in a “word” from your Dictionary 1 and anything that matches in your Dictionary 2. You will want to look under the tab “2 Word” when doing this method. You can also “flip” the order. Put your custom created dictionary that contains your single letters like A, B, C, D, E etc and your popular endings like Ly, Me etc and place that as Dictionary 1. Use your standard dictionary as Dictionary 2. That is how I found the domain name Zearn.com for my live domain name auction site! Dictionary 1 had the “word” Z as the first word. Dictionary 2 found the word “Earn” from my standard dictionary. This resulted in me easily seeing the brandable domain name Zearn.com! SWEET and Easy!

Find GEO Domains

If you have a GEO keyword list, you can use it with ZipZing as a dictionary to easily “pick out” GEO related domain names that contain other common dictionary terms with it. Simply load your “GEO Dictionary” as Dictionary 1 or 2 (depending if you want the domain to “start with or end with”. Then use your standard dictionary as Dictionary 1 or Dictionary 2.

Find Just About Anything

Do NOT limit yourself to the amount of “Dictionaries” you use! Create your own, find specific ones and think outside the box!

Load Domains & Process

This is the section you will select a saved domain name list from your computer to filter it. The bigger the domain list, the longer ZipZing takes to work. It will show a “Not Responding” from time to time when you process around 100K domains for an example, but the software is still working.. just give it a few seconds to do the work. You will use the “Load Domains & Process” button to do a “double task”. Load the domains and filter them using the dictionary (ies) you have loaded. You can use the “process” button at any time after a domain list is already loaded to reprocess with any new settings you may have changed since your last process. If you change a dictionary and already have a domain list loaded, simply click Process to filter the domain list with your new dictionary that you have loaded. If you wish to only see .com domains and you enter in .com in the TLD box, click process and you will only see .com domains.

Export

You can export your filtered domain name lists by simply clicking the Export button. This will prompt you to save the file to your computer. The export feature works for the current tab “type” of domain name page you are on. “All Domains” for an example, or “1 word” etc. Another quick way to copy your filtered list is by right clicking and select all. Then you can instantly paste your list where you want.

Types of Domains

1 Word = 1 word domain names based on the dictionary you have inserted
2 Word = 2 word domain names based on the dictionary you have inserted
3 Word = 3 word domain names based on the dictionary you have inserted
Popular = Popular types of domain names like 2 Character, 3 Character, 4 Letter etc.
Other = Domain names that the software couldn’t detect as one of the above. XZ123.com for an example wouldn’t be detected because XZ is not a dictionary word and nor is 123. Often times, the “Other” file will contain the “bad” domain names in the list.
2 Word with Hyphen = A two word domain name based on the dictionary you have inserted that contained a hyphen
3 Word with Hyphen = A three word domain name based on the dictionary you have inserted that contained a hyphen

Constraints

The Constraints filter simply allows you to limit the “dictionary word length”, not the domain length. If you would only like to see “4 word dictionary term”, you would input” Min word 1 length: 4 Max word 1 length: 4 . If there are matching 4 word length domain names in the list, those will be the only ones displayed.

You can also filter by TLD. If you wish to only see the “.com” domains while filtering, simply enter “.com” into the Extension (TLD) filter.
